Contemporary Arts Museum Houston
Houston, TX
The Contemporary Arts Museum Houston (CAMH) is one of the country's leading institutions dedicated to presenting and interpreting the art of our time. Founded in 1948, the museum occupies a landmark building designed by Gunnar Birkerts and offers free admission to more than 100,000 visitors annually. As a noncollecting institution, CAMH focuses exclusively on temporary exhibitions and programs, positioning the museum at the forefront of contemporary artistic dialogue.
A 2026 FCI Scoping Grant will support a comprehensive energy audit of the museum's 1972 building, integrated into a forthcoming campus master plan that will identify sustainability and resilience strategies for future capital improvements. The audit will establish an energy baseline, quantify current emissions, and provide a roadmap for reducing CAMH's environmental footprint in alignment with its strategic planning process.
