Museum of Contemporary Art Denver

Denver, CO

The Museum of Contemporary Art Denver (MCA Denver) is an innovative forum for contemporary art and one of the city's most dynamic cultural institutions. Founded in 1996 by artists, MCA Denver presents between four and eight temporary exhibitions annually in its purpose-built LEED Gold–certified building, supporting both emerging artists rooted in Denver and the Mountain West and established figures transformative to the field. As a noncollecting institution, MCA Denver focuses entirely on new commissions, presentations, and more than 130 community programs a year, deepening public engagement with contemporary visual culture.

An FCI Technical Assistance Grant will support a comprehensive engineering assessment of the museum's HVAC and radiant floor heating systems to improve efficiency and guide capital upgrades. The study will evaluate the integrated mechanical systems including a 30,000 CFM rooftop air handler, condensing boilers, and a radiant floor system. As a result, the project will produce a technical report, lifecycle cost analysis, and phased implementation roadmap.
