WheatonArts and Cultural Center

Millville, NJ

WheatonArts and Cultural Center is a historic glassmaking and cultural campus in Millville, New Jersey, dedicated to the creation, exhibition, and preservation of American craft, with a particular emphasis on glass. Founded in 1968 around the preservation of the historic Wheaton Village glassworks, WheatonArts encompasses eight buildings on a 60-acre, eight building campus and hosts more than 60,000 visitors annually through its museums, glass studios, and craft demonstrations. The campus celebrates the deep heritage of glassmaking in southern New Jersey while supporting contemporary artists and craftspeople.

A 2026 FCI Scoping Grant will support a comprehensive energy and systems audit of WheatonArts's campus with a focus on the Glass Studio, the institution's highest energy cost-center. The study will produce a phased implementation plan identifying priorities for reducing energy consumption and emissions.
