Museum of Sonoma County

Santa Rosa, CA

The Museum of Sonoma County in Santa Rosa, California, is the region's leading visual arts and history institution, dedicated to presenting the art, history, and culture of the North Bay. Founded in 1985, the museum holds a permanent collection and presents a dynamic program of temporary exhibitions, education programs, and community events that serve a diverse regional audience. Located in an area that has experienced devastating wildfires in recent years, the Museum of Sonoma County is acutely aware of the urgency of climate action and committed to leading by example.

A 2026 FCI Implementation Grant will support the installation of a 98.6 kW solar photovoltaic system at the museum, expected to fully offset annual energy use. The system is projected to yield approximately $1.46 million in savings over thirty years.
