SITE Santa Fe
Santa Fe, NM
Guided by artists and rooted in New Mexico, SITE Santa Fe is a midsize non-collecting contemporary art museum founded in 1995 to establish the first international contemporary art biennial in the United States. SITE nurtures innovation, discovery, and inspiration through the art of today and believes that contemporary art has the power to stimulate and strengthen empathy, bring people together, and drive social change.
SITE Santa Fe is entering the final stage of its green energy overhaul and building on a 2023 FCI Implementation grant, which will facilitate the repair of the roof on its physical plant and the addition of 134 solar photoelectric panels. Completion of this project will enable SITE to fulfill its foremost goal of supporting artists, providing intergenerational learning experiences, and connection among New Mexico’s communities. It will also help SITE realize its long-term goals of supporting responsible energy usage and modeling a transition to sustainable energy sources for peers: local, regional, and national arts and cultural organizations.
