Indigo Arts Alliance (IAA) is a Black-led arts organization in Portland, Maine, dedicated to supporting and centering artists of African descent through residencies, exhibitions, education, and community programming. Operating out of an 8,000-square-foot studio facility in Portland's East Bayside neighborhood, Indigo Arts Alliance provides a vital platform for Black artists in northern New England and beyond, serving as both a creative home and a site of cultural advocacy. The organization's programming spans visual arts, performance, and community engagement, with a commitment to equity, sustainability, and long-term institutional resilience.

A 2026 FCI Technical Assistance Grant will support installation of a 54-panel rooftop solar array. The system is expected to cover approximately 90 percent of the organization's annual energy use over the array's 40-year lifespan, significantly reducing operating costs.
