Forge Project is an Indigenous-led nonprofit committed to advancing Indigenous leadership, land stewardship, and education through the arts, culture, and advocacy. It is located on the ancestral homelands of the Moh-He-Con-Nuck people on a 38-acre campus in the Mahicannituck (Hudson River) valley in New York, in two buildings designed by artist Ai Weiwei.
A 2025 FCI Catalyst Grant supported a comprehensive energy audit of all campus facilities, as well as engineering feasibility studies for transitioning to a geothermal heating and cooling system and rooftop solar installations
A 2026 FCI Implementation Grant will support building sealing, major appliance electrification, HVAC and climate-control upgrades, and ongoing energy monitoring across the campus. The project is expected to reduce energy use by approximately 24 percent over two years while improving the conservation environment for artwork on display.
