Maryland Hall
Annapolis, MD
Maryland Hall is Annapolis’s cultural core, dedicated to providing accessible arts experiences that engage all community members. The nonprofit hosts four public galleries, artist residencies, and hundreds of free and low-cost visual arts classes including pottery, painting, drawing, and media arts. As one of the most preeminent nonprofit arts organizations in Maryland’s capital city, Maryland Hall plays a critical role in nurturing emerging artists and fostering community through the arts. Its historic building supports a vibrant array of studios, galleries, and educational spaces central to its mission of “Art for All.”
Supported by FCI, Maryland Hall will modernize its heating, ventilation, and cooling systems to create safer, more comfortable environments for artists, students, and visitors. This project will also improve air quality and environmental stability in studio spaces that use hazardous materials. Developed in partnership with preservation and community stakeholders, the carefully phased upgrades will preserve the building’s historic character while ensuring Maryland Hall continues to serve as a vital cultural resource well into the future.
